Full training will be provided, and the company will also support additional training in qualifications in other aspects of the business to the right candidate.The roleWe are looking to recruit an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to carry out regular servicing, reactive maintenance, commissioning, small works and repairs of various Fire detection & Fire alarm systems, Emergency lighting and other associated systems along with completing and submitting all relevant documentation. Ensuring up to date knowledge of, and compliance with, all relevant British Standards is essential.Due to the nature of the work, you may be required to work away or work outside of normal hours to complete certain projects.Skills, Experience and Qualifications RequiredA full Electrical based qualification such as City & Guilds, ONC, HNC etc.Full, valid driving licenceA thorough understanding of relevant British Standards, clauses relating to servicing, maintenance and commissioningExperience of working within the electrical/electronic sectorA working knowledge of electrical circuits & measuring devicesExperience of working with Fire Alarms and associated systemsExperience of BS5839 Fire Alarm ServicingFully conversant with BS5839Good working knowledge of addressable & conventional systemsConversant with BS7671 wiring regulationsFamiliarity with safe working practices and Health & Safety requirementsExcellent customer service skillsCompetent using technology such as laptops, measuring devices, smart phones etc.Ability to maintain accurate records whilst regularly submitting customer and company paperwork in a timely mannerGood interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a teamExcellent oral and written communication skillsThe ability to communicate effectively with staff at varying levels throughout the companyA genuine interest in your work with an enthusiasm and willingness to learnTAKE THE NEXT STEP IN YOUR CAREER Role applying for ...
